Khana Pugos, Dina Pugos

Recently, I have read Rabindra Mishra's book " Khana Pugos, Dina Pugos" ; a collection of his articles published in the Nagarik Dainik and the kantipur Dainik. The book consists fifty-three articles in two sections: articles related to the social welfare and the politics. Rabindra Mishra was a popular reporter of the BBC Nepali Service, whom, I think, most of the Nepalese recognize. Now, he has been retired from the job and decided to devote his retired life in the social work.He is the founder of Help Nepal Network which has contributed to establish schools, libraries, hospitals to the poor collecting funds from different people living in Nepal and abroad.
"Khana Pugos, Dina Pugos" is highly inspirational collection of his articles about the people who silently contributed to the country by extending their helping hands. Such news are the bad news for the newspapers who all the time run after the foul politicians to pick up the pack of lies and  cover the front page with their scruffy faces. They hardly publish the news about Puspa Basnet, 25, unmarried who has opened a childcare house where 35 children live. She has been working for those who have lost their mothers, or who were unwanted children for the sinners. She collected the children from the street and opened her heart and gave them a mother's love. They never publish the news of  Acheut Sharma, 32 who donated Rs.35,00000 to cancer hospital when he came to know that he has been suffering from cancer. They never publish the news of Dilshova who has opened a old-care center at kalanki in her own house and has been serving them alone since her husband has deserted her life.  These are some examples that Rabindra MIshra has documented in this book. My intention is not only to blame  the newspapers for not publishing such news on the front page, but also I blame the readers who always seek political news and spent hours and hours talking and making discourses on it. What the hell the politicians did for the nation after the abolition of the King's reign from Nepal? They only produced tiring discourses on ethnicity, race, gender, caste and provinces. They divided people and ruled them. They embezzled, exploited and thrashed the nation in to the dustbin. So, instead of listening their empty chatter and reading the pack of lies, its better to do something for the poor, for the nation standing on our own places as per our ground. If we can't do anything, at least , we can think positively, we can praise to those who have done welfare for the society.
This book can be a mentor to many of us who want to serve the nation, the society, the poor as per our capacity. Puspa Basnet,Dilshova, Madan Rai,Gayatri Bhattrai, Achuet Sharma, Shaubhagya Shah,Shuddha Rauniyar, Dr. Chakraraj Pandey, Min bahadur Gurung, Shiddhartha Rana, Dinbandu, Shivani, Ila, Haribansha and Madankrishna etc are some examples presented in the book who only deserve the solute from  this blogger. If you want to know about them please read the book.
