Snow Days

Yellow leaves are flying down the bough
Swirling, unfurling
From the maple tree
Silently welcoming the bitter days.

Mount of snows on the way
Through the rim of the Northern bay
Gnawing and biting
On the land below the sun rays.

Summer days are gone
So did the Barbecues, pickings and romance
Parks and shores will cry
With the pain of morbid snow days.

Polar bear will dance welcoming the day
Linnet will cry up in the bush
A traveller will have a chimney mouth
Plenty of sores and regretful gays.
